Deal of the Year: Every song Alex Dezen has released for the price of one album!

1

Alex Dezen is one of my favorite songwriters of the last 10 years.

Personally, I think the six albums he has released under the name The Damnwells do not have a single track that I would skip past, they are all good. While The Damnwells has had a revolving lineup through the years, both on album and in concert, Alex also released a series of 4 solo EP’s last year, and has a new solo album that is due to be released next month. This is a video for the track “A Little Less Like Hell” that has just been released:

Like the last two Damnwells albums, Alex is releasing his new solo album through Pledge Music, a Kickstarter-esque crowdfunding site that is geared specifically for music. At the page for the Alex’s new album, you can pre-order anything from a download of his new album for $10, or have him come to your house and play an acoustic house concert for $1500. I’ve attended (and filmed) one of his house concerts, and they are a fantastic chance to hear his music in an intimate setting. Here’s a video from that concert:

Alex’s solo album releases on February 11th, and he is celebrating the release by holding an internet concert, where he will perform EVERY SONG he has ever recorded. (Check back to entertain-me for a link, when available.)  It is expected to last 8 or 9 hours. Later that night, he’ll also be performing his new album straight through at the High Watt in Nashville, TN.

From now until the February 11th concert, anyone who pre-orders ANY of the items on his Pledge Music page will receive a download of EVERY SONG HE HAS EVER RELEASED. That is EIGHT full-length albums and four EPs, totalling 109 songs! For as little as $10!

Personally, I ordered the version of the album that includes an EP of covers from The Go-Go’s, but I hope whichever package you order, you take advantage of this amazing deal by going to Pledge Music and ordering Alex Dezen!
